The inn was conveniently located near shopping and restaurants, making exploration easy. the innkeepers were incredibly kind and accommodating, providing valuable suggestions for places to visit in Newport. the room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, offering views of the Bay and Newport Bridge from spacious bay windows. One of the highlights was the daily cocktail hour at 5 pm, with wine and cheese offerings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. the homemade breakfast each morning was delicious, featuring oven-fresh baked goods and tasty egg dishes. the attention to detail throughout the inn, from the comfortable bedding to the welcoming common areas, truly stood out. the hosts, John and Laurence, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment during our visit. The Almondy Inn's proximity to Newport's major attractions, such as the historic mansions and waterfront, made it the perfect base for exploring the city. the thoughtful amenities in the room, including a flat-screen TV, coffee machine, and premium bedding, added to the overall experience. We also appreciated the little touches like the welcome drink upon arrival and the happy hour offerings. Overall, our experience at Almondy Inn was top-notch, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and luxurious stay in Newport. the combination of excellent service, convenient location, and comfortable accommodations made our Christmas getaway truly memorable.
